The UCS-175 Rack-Mount Fiber Optic Chassis

The UCS-175 is a durable, compact rack-mount fiber chassis designed for applications that require centralized fiber termination and splicing in limited spaces. This 1U high fiber optic chassis integrates up to two Universal Fiber Cassettes (UFC), each capable of interconnecting 12 fibers.

Designed specifically for fiber optic applications that require splicing and terminating between 12 and 24 fibers in a 1.75” high chassis, the UCS-175 offers a space-saving solution for communication networks and is an ideal component for high-density fiber deployment.

Flexible Design and Fiber Management

The UCS-175 U-Series chassis features steel 19-inch or 23-inch reversible mounting brackets that can be positioned in multiple configurations to accommodate various network preferences. This flexibility ensures that the rack-mount fiber unit is easily integrated into any standard rack.

For simplified fiber management, the chassis design focuses on access. The top front cover provides protection and easy access to the U-Guards of the Universal Fiber Cassettes. Integrated guide rails in the UCS-175 allow for the critical telescoping feature of the cassettes, making it easier to install fiber patch panel functionality and perform routine maintenance.

Pre-Configured Options and Applications

The versatility of this fiber optic chassis is extended through its ordering options. Each chassis may be ordered with pre-terminated UFC cassettes (such as Splice, Splitter, or MPO Cassettes) or network-specific stub cables.
